CAMDEN………………….Jessie Heal Gautreau, 73, of Camden, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Maine Medical Center in Portland surrounded by her family Born in Camden on March 16, 1945, she was the daughter of Elmer E. and Ruth Theresa (Owen) Heal and was a member of the Class of 1963 Camden High School. She was also a 1965 graduate of Husson University. On July 26, 1969, she married Donald C. Gautreau at St. Anne’s Church in Bristol, Connecticut.
Jessie’s employment in Connecticut included Hamilton Standard, Travelers Insurance Company, Connecticut General, Hartford Times and Pratt & Whitney. In 1979, Jessie and Donald moved to Camden from East Hartford. In Camden, Jessie worked in the law office of Paul C. Gibbons, retiring in 2010.
Her hobbies included knitting, working with ceramics, and travelling across the United States. Jessie loved all animals, her pets, and worshipped her family, children and grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband of 48 years, Donald C. Gautreau of Camden; daughter, Dawn Farrington and her husband Brian of Searsmont; son Kevin Gautreau and his companion, Shelly Wilbur of Lincolnville; four grandchildren Courtney, Alyson, Gray and Cam.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, Elmer E. Heal, Jr. (Butch).
There will be a graveside service held at 2PM, Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Youngtown Cemetery, Route 52, in Lincolnville for family and friends. If desired, memorial gifts may be made in her memory to Pope Memorial Humane Society, P.O. Box 1294, Rockland, Maine 04841.
