GEORGIANA M. PLUMMER
CAMDEN……….Georgiana Marie Plummer, 95, formerly of Merry Gardens and The Megunticook House, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Country Manor Nursing Home in Coopers Mills. She had been a Camden resident for the last 13 years, having moved here to be closer to her daughter, Cynthia Ostrowski. Born in Albany, New York on May 31, 1922, she was the daughter of Burr H and Theresa (Miller) Osbonlighter. Mrs. Plummer had previously been employed by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of NY as a claims specialist. Throughout her life she had been active in her Church and in local senior groups as a member of local Catholic choirs, parish alter society and senior centers. Georgiana enjoyed organizing special events, fun bus tours for seniors, and activities (including bingo, card parties and fashion shows) for the Senior Citizens Club. She loved to dance and performed in musicals by the Knights of Columbus. In Camden, Georgiana was a communicant at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church and a member of the Camden Senior Citizens group.
Surviving is her daughter, Cynthia Ostrowski and her husband, James of Hope, Maine; son, Gary Neubauer and his wife, Patricia of Monroe, NC; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren . She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Burr Osbonlighter, sister, Savina Sliker and infant granddaughter, Shannon Neubauer. A funeral mass was held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert Vaillancourt officiated and burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Camden. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caregivers at County Manor Nursing Home and through Beacon Hospice. If desired, memorial gifts may be made to Beacon Hospice.
