Condolence From: James E Tierney
Condolence: To all of you who knew and loved Shelly, let me add my condolences. I had the honor of working with Shelly in the Maine Office of Attorney General. Shelly's dedication to her tasks were deeply appreciated and made a real difference to our often somber duties. Her spirit and energy helped us all get through some difficult days. Again, please accept my sincere condolences at your loss.

Condolence: To the Eaton family, I was so very sad to hear this news. I worked at the AG office with Shelly and she ALWAYS had a smile. My daughter had a horse and we shared many stories. My sincere condolences. She was a special person.

Condolence: From one of Hank's favorite books...

And if someday you're lonely
or someday you're sad
or you strike out at baseball
or think you've been bad...

just lift up your face, feel the wind in your hair.
That's me, my sweet baby, my love is right here.

Condolence: A PARABLE OF IMMORTALITY
by Henry Van

"I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, 'There she goes!'

Gone where? Gone from my sight ... that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, 'There she goes!' there are other eyes watching her coming and their voices ready to take up the glad shouts 'Here she comes!'"

Condolence: If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
We would walk right up to heaven
And bring you back again.

No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why.

Our hearts still ache in sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one can ever know.

But now we know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store.

Since you'll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today
A hallowed place within our hearts
Is where you'll always stay.

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free,
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I’ve found that peace at the end of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things too I will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life’s been full, I savoured much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one’ touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
