a friend in need and deed

When I first started teacbhing at Camden Rockport High School in 1990 I often stayed late. Paul was always ready with a smile and a story as I plugged along grading & getting ready for the next day. And if he was picking up dinner for Pat and himself at the nearby market (which no longer exists - was it called the Mill St. Market?) he would always ask if I wanted to order something that he would pick up and bring down to my room. He was a man of generosity and kindness, who lightened my days.
