Obituary for Nina Moss

NINA M. MOSS
CAMDEN………………Nina M. Moss, 94, of Camden, died at Anderson Inn on November 21, 2017 where she had resided for two years. Born in Camden on January 5, 1923, she was the daughter of William Franklin and Edna Eugenia (Parks) Start. Nina was a graduate of Camden High School, Class of 1940, married Walter E. Weed, and had five children.
Primarily a homemaker, Nina held several jobs in the area including working the night shift at GTE Sylvania in Waldoboro.
A member of the Megunticook Grange in Camden, Nina enjoyed knitting and crocheting, quilling, and oil painting. In her later years, she learned to play golf in Lady Lake, Florida.
Nina lived at Merry Gardens on John Street in Camden for several years before moving to Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Walter E. Weed, second husband, Bernard Mills, third husband, Charles Moss; three children, Douglas Weed, Ronald Weed, and Jo Ann Weed Simonton, stepdaughter, Priscilla Dempsey; siblings, Wallace and Paul Start, Alice Jackson, and Bertha Annis. Surviving are sons, Kenneth Weed and his wife, Doris, Walter Weed, all of Lincolnville; two stepchildren, Freda Smith of North Haven, Alden Mills of Machias and North Haven; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-greatgrandchildren; and a special niece and caregiver, Brenda Richardson.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering from 1-3pm, December 10, 2017 at 113 Tanglewood Road, Lincolnville. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Oak Hill Cemetery in Camden. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.longfuneralhomecamden.com. Arrangements are with the Long Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 9 Mountain Street, Camden.
