In 1988, they moved to Englewood, Florida where Dot managed a thrift shop for the local church. Alvah died in 1991, and in 2006, Dot moved back to Camden.
A devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, Dot never wanted to miss the activities and sporting events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest and always enjoyed having a good time wherever she went.
