Condolence: Eddie Parra, my good friend! Eddie, you were small in stature but large in heart and courage. When umpiring with Eddie in 09 he told me about his colon cancer. He umpired the season however right through his chemo treatments. "Walt" he said "being with the kids makes me feel better". I have worked many games with Eddie over the last 10-15 years and he always thanked me for helping out. But today I want to thank Eddie for being a unique special person who knew it's nice to be important but more important to be nice.
